My bro was talking about the non removable second row seat, and I think I agree with him

we think it's totally bonkers and would shoot an entire chunk of the market in the foot.
People dig camping in their vans and hauling stuff around!
They bragged about the hybrid's awesome towing, which is cool and all. But what were they smoking, not letting you yank out the middle seats?
One of the sweetest perks of the Prius hybrid was being able to crash in the back with the AC or heat on – it was like a #hotelprius on wheels! Looks like Toyota missed the boat on that one.
So long, farewell to all the dog parents, car campers, and anyone who ever needs to lug anything bigger than a breadbox in their van lol. This is a real head scratcher!

Yes, that's very frustrating especially for people that like to go camping and they want to flatten the seats, seems like Toyota forgot about the practical needs that people have, i mean that's how their hybrids became favorites in the first place.

yeah, ikr, it's ridiculous. but I think they have another package that has removable middle seats. I guess it's their marketing strategy or something

lol, toyota took a solid idea for a hybrid minivan and then slapped a "no fun allowed" sticker on it, or It's like they forgot that people actually use their cars for more than just driving. Imagine having the hybrid towing power and then being stuck with a non-removable seat. Talk about a missed opportunity, like seriously, toyota, what were you thinking?

Can't say that I've ever needed to remove the seats, but I see many people complaining about it. What would you need to remove the seats for? Haven't had a vehicle with this capability so I'm a bit of a loss about why one would need that

Yeah, I don't get it either. Fixed second row kills a lot of the flexibility people buy vans for especially campers and haulers. Big miss on Toyota's part.
