system malfunction

my '21 Platinum AWD with 65k miles died on a road trip today. while speeding up to merge onto the highway around 45mph the gas engine started shaking and revving then lost power. check engine light came on with a "Hybrid System Malfunction" warning. no other alerts. can't drive it now. anyone else had this? i have seen lots of "hybrid system malfunction" issues online but none match these exact symptoms. this feels like more than just a software glitch. i'll update with what's wrong and how it's fixed. the van's been perfect until now getting stranded on the highway stinks.

whoa that's a rough break, sorry to hear it, hopefully it's something minor like a sensor or inverter hiccup, even if it felt dramatic in the moment. hybrid systems can be touchy but usually bounce back once the right part's swapped or reprogrammed. Glad you're safe though, do keep us posted,

Hope you're okay and nothing majorly bad happened. It sounds like a serious hybrid system malfunction, potentially with the battery, inverter, or electric motor. Since its affecting power and shaking the engine, it's best to get it checked by your local mechanic and run a full diagnostic. Hopefully, they can fix it quickly..

So, we can all throw around potential problems and the list is long. Have you got the codes? You won't have to take it to the dealer, just plug in some of those cheap obd scanners, they're decent enough to get the codes so that we can point you int he right direction.

That sounds rough. I've observed similar hybrid system problems that result in shaking and power loss and are linked to wiring or traction motor problems. It might be a bad harness or cable. Get it checked out as soon as possible, especially if it's still covered by warranty

Probably battery pack or inverter issue. Hopefully it's not the whole hybrid system
